Conflict-of-laws issues pose fundamental challenges in international arbitration, with the lack of a unified approach bringing increased uncertainty.
To seek to tackle these issues, founding partner Dr. Nikolaus Pitkowitz has – together with Wendy Lin as co-chair and Dr. Mariel Dimsey and Prof. Dr. Matthias Lehmann as co-rapporteurs – recently established a new Committee on Conflict-of-Laws Issues in International Arbitration under the auspices of the International Law Association.
More information on the Committee’s mandate and work can be found here.
