In mid-November, a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was invited by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) to a training on UNCITRAL texts. In the module on Alternative Dispute Resolution, Founding Partner Nikolaus Pitkowitz and Associate Caroline Strohmeier spoke in front of high-ranking representatives from the judiciary and government on the topic of the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Arbitration.
The following day, Attorney-at-Law Peter Machherndl and Associate Johanna Kathan-Spath spoke on the topic of Mediation, ranging from the UNCITRAL Texts on Commercial Mediation to the Singapore Mediation Convention.
UNCITRAL texts contribute to the development of a more predictable, transparent, and efficient international trade environment by providing a common legal foundation that nations can adopt and adapt to suit their specific needs. It was our pleasure to contribute to this important goal and we in particular want to thank Judith Knieper and Anna Joubin-Bret for the kind invitation.
