Selected mandates

Dr. Nikolaus Pitkowitz is acting as party appointed arbitrator in a proceeding under ICC Rules regarding the adjustment of long-term energy contracts between two major European energy companies. The case involves legal questions of national and European Union law across several different legal areas, such as energy regulatory law, competition law and contract law. The value in dispute lies in excess of USD 100 million.

The Real Estate team of Pitkowitz & Partners advises a real estate developer on various projects related to the hospitality industry. The team supported the development and sale of a hotel property in Vienna, accompanied the conclusion of the lease agreement with an international hotel chain and the sale of the project to funds. The team also assists other hotel development projects in Salzburg and Linz with the purchase of the property, negotiations with international hotel chains and with building and commercial law proceedings.

Pitkowitz & Partners advises an international producer of components for industrial plants in connection with claims for damages. The main subject of the mandate is alleged defects in the construction of an industrial plant in China.
